The two exes—Sidharth and Alia—first fell in love during the shooting of their first movie. The two would go on to date for a long time, before eventually splitting up. After that, Alia Bhatt eventually ended up marrying her longtime boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor, last year.
On Tuesday, Alia Bhatt posted a wedding photo of the new couple on Instagram, where Sidharth is kissing Kiara on the cheek, and wrote, “Congratulations you two!” accompanied by a heart emoji. Their other “Student of the Year” co-star, Varun Dhawan, also congratulated Sidharth on his big moment.
The wedding was a closely guarded affair, with only a few guests from the film industry in attendance. Karan Johar, who launched the careers of Sidharth, Alia, and Varun with “Student of the Year” in 2012, was in attendance. Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput; Armaan Jain and his wife Anissa Malhotra; along with Juhi Chawla were also present at the wedding.
Sidharth and Kiara will be holding two wedding receptions, one in Delhi on February 9 and one in Mumbai on February 12.
